ABOUT 'TELL YOUR STORY'

My name is Heather Thomson. I love history, I love writing, and I love listening to people's stories.

When my father died, he left behind a collection of written work, including a comprehensive family tree, a set of novels following our family history, a book documenting our time overseas when I was a child and a complete autobiography.

Dad's books are like gold to me now. They have given me insight into the lives of those who came before me, excited me with adventures I could only have dreamed of, evoked memories of my own childhood that I had forgotten and offered perspective to others I'd remembered differently. Most importantly, they have created a tangible link to my father. It is this that has driven me to offer this service to others. Not everyone is a writer but everyone has a history that is like gold to their loved ones.

I feel immensely honoured to be able to play a part in crafting your history into a tactile format that can be passed down and enjoyed over and over by future generations.
